Here we see an array of minor illness such as:

• Sore throat
• Ear ache
• Rashes
• Urinary tract infections

We also see minor injuries such as:

• Injuries that may require X-Ray
• Wounds for suturing
• Strains and sprains

Unfortunately, we cannot help with:

• Long standing medical conditions that are managed by a patients’ GP.
• Sick Notes/Fit For Work Notes.
• Dental Problems – we can only provide pain relief not antibiotics.
• Repeat Prescriptions – Emergency short supply only.
• Ultra sounds 
• Specialist maternity care (ultrasounds)
• Referrals for ongoing or long term conditions

Our Wellness Hub is managed by our Patient Advisors who have a wealth of knowledge and experience in health care needs other than physical health. This includes anxiety and depression, sexual health, COVID-19 related anxieties, menopause related concerns and many other non-physical health related needs.

What to expect

Our specialist urgent care team is here when you need help, advice and treatment for most common injuries and illnesses that are urgent but not life-threatening.

Check In – You will be asked to provide our patient navigators with information about yourself and your reason for attendance. Once completed, just take a seat and wait for your name to be called.

Assessment – You will be seen by one of our clinicians who will assess the urgency of your illness or injury. If you do not require treatment you may be given self-care advice or redirected to a more appropriate service.

Treatment – If you do require treatment you will be seen by one of our clinicians. The speed at which you will be seen, will depend on your urgent care needs.

Outcome – When you are ready to leave, you may be provided with self-care information and aftercare advice. We encourage all patients to tell us about their experience so please speak to any staff member if you wish to provide feedback.
