The Sheffield Walk In Centre is situated in the main centre of Sheffield. The service is open 0800-2200 every day including bank holidays and weekends. A friendly walk-in service which is run by Advanced clinical practitioners.
Illness: For patients who need treatment for common illness conditions that are too urgent to wait for a GP appointment but do not need emergency treatment at an A&E department.
Injuries: We are able to attend to minor wounds including lacerations and burns. There are X-Ray facilities on site and we can plaster cast or fit a splint to support your injury. We will also refer you for follow up treatment if necessary.
Remember: Hospital emergency departments are for patients requiring emergency care for serious and life-threatening conditions. Please use the emergency department services carefully so it can best support those who need it most.
The site also runs a free and confidential Wellness service providing advice and listening support and signposting to local specialist services.
Our Wellbeing Hub is managed by our Wellness Nurse, who has a wealth of knowledge and experience in health care needs other than physical health. Including anxiety and depression, COVID-19 related anxieties, and many different non-physical health-related needs.
No appointment is required. However, you can call to book a video consultation, phone consultation, or we can book you into an appointment slot for you to attend.
The Wellbeing service Hub is here to support and empower our community to address life’s challenges and meet their own wellbeing goals. The Wellness Nurse and the Patient Advisor work collaboratively with our patients and clinical staff to ensure person-centered, compassionate care is provided to all patients.
